If a trophy is the goal, book April: long days, daytime bites, and the best odds at a big pike, lake trout or burbot through the ice. October, November and April are the quietest months and often the best value. The northern lights run all winter, so winter dates book up across the whole season; reach out early for the weeks you want.
Kyle has guided pike and lake trout since 2016 and spends close to 200 days a year on the water. He runs every trip personally, keeps groups small, and is as well known for his shore lunches as his fishing. Beginners are welcome; a good share of guests are out for the first time.
