Kyle Callbeck has guided lake trout and pike since 2016, first in the Northwest Territories and now across the Yukon. He runs every trip personally, so the person planning your day is the person on the water with you. He’s known for the shore lunch as much as the fishing: fresh fish cooked on the bank using what you landed that day.
Beginners are genuinely welcome. A good share of trips are someone’s first time holding a rod, and that often works out well, with no bad habits to undo. Families, fly anglers, and serious trophy hunters all get a day built to suit them.

Heads-up: June and the winter aurora months are the busiest. October, November and April are quieter, often the best value and, for ice fishing, some of the best trophy fishing of the year.
Most guests fly into Whitehorse (airport code YXY) and stay in town. Trips include hotel pickup in Whitehorse, and most fishing is within about two hours’ drive. Start times are flexible and coordinated with you: typically morning, midday or evening, with northern lights tours starting around 10 pm.
Groups are small, and Kyle guides each trip. June and winter northern lights book up first. Send your dates and interests, and he’ll create a fitting plan.
